Admissions

The Governing Body follow the admission procedures set by Manchester Education Department.

Nursery

This is a full time equivalent place Nursery which is currently organised as 78 full time places.  Children become eligible for admissions at the beginning of the term following their third birthday.  The number of requests for admission usually exceeds the number of places, therefore children are admitted in the following priority order:

Category 1

Children with exceptional social, medical or educational needs.

Category 2

Children who have a sibling attending the school when they take up the place.

Category 3

Any further admissions are prioritised according to the distance between the child's permanent home address and the school, measured in a straight line.

Please Note:  We don't currently have any available places in the Nursery.  A place in the nursery does not guarantee a place in reception class.

Reception

There are 2 intakes into the reception classes totalling 60 places.  Children who are five between 1st September and 28th February start in September, children who are five between 1st March and 31st August start in January.

Please Note:  A place in the nursery does not guarantee a place in reception class.

Years 1 to 6

There are 60 places in each year group.  If requests for admission exceeds the number of places available, the categories 1 to 3 are used to prioritise admissions.  The Education Authority also runs an appeals procedure.
