A Message from Mrs Kerton

Welcome to Moston Lane Community Primary School

Moston Lane is a Community Primary School with a 60 place Nursery, which means we have boys and girls from 3 to 11 years of age. There are approximately 370 children on roll.

We are very proud that in June 2004 we achieved the Manchester Inclusion Standards Award, we are one of the first schools in Manchester to achieve this in, June 2005 we were awarded with a Gold Inclusion Award. This builds on our other successes, and goes alongside our Investor in People Award and Healthy School Bronze and Silver Awards. In June 2007, we also achieved the Healthy School Gold Award.

In 2002 we joined the University of the First Age, which continually promotes life long learning and developing children’s self esteem, ensuring children believe they “can do it”.

At Moston Lane we value all partnerships. Moston Lane is one of 9 schools in a Networked Learning Community, enabling us to work with other schools continuing our school improvement learning with others, learning from each other and on behalf of each other.

We are looking forward to the challenges this will bring as we continue to strive to improve the quality of education for our pupils.

Our most valued partnership is that with Parents and Carers. The role of the parents in the educational process is valued highly at Moston Lane Primary; we believe pupils learn best when home and school work together in a partnership.

Together we can make a difference.

We are pleased that our standards are rising, and we will endeavour to continue to build on our good practice to ensure all our children reach their full potential.

OFSTED 2007: ‘Moston Lane Primary School is a good school with an outstanding curriculum”.

I hope that your child’s time with us will be

happy and successful.
